Clinic Potluck
Sunday June 28th
1:00 - 3:00 pm Volunteer Time - Self-directed weeding under Sunfish racks, mowing behind/under dry moorage boats, weed whacking/leaf blowing asphalt cracks in dry moorage area, straightening out shed, cleaning driftwood off docks, etc.
If you can, please BYOT (bring your own tools, gloves, etc)
3:00 - 5:00 pm Clinic Time - AED basics by the shed. Rescue Boat equipment and ops 101. Capsize assistance chalk talk while gathered around the rescue boat under the big tree
5:00 - 7:00 pm Potluck in Hueston Room - Socialize and enjoy some good food and desserts. As per HSA tradition, bring a dish to share, and your own place setting
7:00 - 9:00 pm Evening Sail! - Spend some quality time together and invite a new member out on your boat for a screen-free, no-race evening sail)
Social Activities
Good company is part of good sailing. To supplement our time on the water together, Hueston Sailing Association offers several social events during the year. All of the events are family-oriented.
We have potluck dinners on various Sailing Days. During the year, we have several meetings that often include a brunch, dinner, a special activity, or a program. Sometimes HSA hosts regattas, such as the Midwest Regional Sunfish Regatta, which include special events for participating sailors and their families.
Annually, in November, we have a more formal awards banquet. You might even find someone wearing a tie at this event! At the awards banquet, trophies for the racing season are presented, and we enjoy some good food and fellowship.
