- Races are held each Sunday and on holidays at 1:30 p.m. from April through October.
- Current racing fleets include Y-Flyers, Hobies, Sunfish/Capri, and Handicap boats.
- The Handicap fleet consists of all other sailboats that sail under the Portsmouth (handicap) rating system.
- Races are open to anyone.
- Only HSA members may compete for trophies.
- HSA owns no land or clubhouse
- HSA owns and maintains a fleet of sailboats and safety boats.
- All races are run from the committee boat
- ,Races are staffed by members on an assignment basis.
- Annual dues are $120 per sailing family, and $20 for an associate membership.
