Directions to Hueston Woods State Park and Acton Lake:
Follow the directions below depending from where you are coming. Once you arrive at the state park, follow the Main Loop Road around the lake to the marina. You will find us in the staging area near the boat launching ramps.
From Cincinnati, take I-275 to the U.S. 27 (Colerain) exit northwest of the city. Follow U.S. 27 north to Oxford. Once in Oxford, follow the signs to Hueston Woods State Park.
From Dayton, take I-75 south to the Centerville-Miamisburg exit, State Highway 725. Take 725 west through Germantown to Camden. At Camden, take Camden-College Corner road west to the state park entrance, which is immediately before the blue steel bridge.
From Richmond, Indiana, take U.S. 27 south to College Corner, then follow Camden-College Corner road east to the state park.
Directions/ Location
Hueston Sailing Association is based on Acton Lake, in Hueston Woods State Park near Miami University and Oxford, Ohio. Hueston Woods is an easy and scenic drive from Cincinnati or Dayton. Acton Lake is ideal for small boat sailing. Power boats are limited to no wake speed, which means that sailors can enjoy their sport without the interference of wakes from jet skis or skiers. The marina area has spacious set up areas for prepping your boat, and excellent launch facilities. A paved dry storage lot is available for those who like to keep their boat at the lake out of the water, or some prefer to rent a slip and keep their boat on the water. The State Park has facilities for social gatherings year round. This environment means the club does not need to maintain its own facilities, so the cost of membership is very low.
